Communications Lead

Based in the Far North and working alongside

Te Rūnanga-a-iwi o Ngāti Kahu you will be responsible for the communications released by the organisation in regard to the uptake of the vaccination against Covid-19 amongst our people.

This roles requires a strategic thinker who can communicate in a way that educates our community and enhances the engagement of whānau across our rohe.

 

This role is 32 hours per week fixed term until the end of June 2022 (with the possibility of being extended).
 

 Key accountabilities include:

  • Assisting with identifying media opportunities and developing a plan on how best to target that opportunity.

  • Developing and maintaining key internal and external stakeholder relationships.

  • Assisting with the generation of media releases, while maintaining an in-depth understanding of the determinants of health – such as cultural, social, and economic influences.

  • Develop website and social media content as well as contribute to other campaigns when required.
