JOIN OUR TEAM!

Youth Practitioner

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with youth from Primary through to young adults through various programs and initiatives, building meaningful relationships and providing mentorship and guidance.

  • Design, plan, and implement engaging workshops, activities, and events that promote personal growth, skill development, and social interaction among youth participants.

  • Conduct one-on-one sessions with youth to address their specific needs, challenges, and aspirations, offering tailored support and resources.

  • Collaborate with the wider team to develop and deliver holistic programs that address physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.

  • Act as a positive role model, fostering a sense of belonging and self-esteem among youth.

  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, collecting data and feedback to continually improve offerings.

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to youth interactions and program outcomes.

  • Stay up-to-date with youth development trends and best practices to enhance program quality.

 

Must have:

  • Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Youth Development, or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience working directly with youth in a mentoring, counselling, or educational capacity.

  • Strong understanding of youth development principles and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in young people's lives.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and relate to youth from diverse backgrounds.

  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space for youth to express themselves.

  • Creativity in designing engaging and relevant activities that align with the organization's goals.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Proficiency in using technology for communication, documentation, and program planning.
