AOD Practitioner

We have a position available for someone with specialist skills in the Alcohol and Drug Sector with experience in working within a Kaupapa Māori Framework. Experience in working in the Justice System or Counselling field is a bonus.


The right person will be someone who can connect with whānau and the community in a way that encourages and inspires change. We want someone who is able to apply their skills and expertise to the role with a proven ability to engage well with others.


Our successful person with have

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in the sector

  • Be creative, innovative, flexible and able to use their initiative

  • Demonstrate professionalism and strong work ethic

  • A strong understanding of therapeutic interventions

  • Qualifications in Alcohol and/or Drugs at level 7 (or working towards) with the ability to gain registration with DAPAANZ within 12 months

  • Full clean driver’s license
