YOUTH SERVICES
We are working alongside MSD to provide supports to Taitamariki aged between 15 - 24 across the whole of Te Taitokerau
We believe Taitamariki need to be exposed to a wider range of supports in order to thrive in an era of innovation, disruption and constant change, where adaptability and learning agility is most needed.
The goal for this service is to increase personal growth for Taitamariki to strengthen their belief in themselves and their abilities in order to make change around their mental wellbeing, emotional regulation, alcohol and drug use, relationships and social connections.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Operationalising Services
We know that organisations operate in a constantly-changing environment; both externally and internally. Because of this, we can often find that the practices we have used historically that used to perform well, no longer work as well as they did - they need adjusting to maximise their impact on the organisation achieving its goals. We support organisations to:
-
Build and establish new services
-
Support with accreditation (social services)
-
Implementing processes for managing and improving service delivery
-
Support with audit related actions
Kaitiakitanga
Tuhiata provides bi-cultural professional supervision across the Health Sector. We provide Kaitiakitanga which challenges traditional supervision as we are guided by our cultural framework while utilising the best of indigenous and western models of practice. We have a group of experts across the health sector who provide professional supervision. We provide supervision nationally to many kaupapa and our guiding principle is to acknowledge the "Aspirations of our Tupuna"
Our belief is that through Kaitiakitanga, the workforce is supported to be the best Kaimahi for our people. We achieve this by supporting the services through supervision which include:
-
Clinical accreditation to DAPAANZ members
-
Supervision in Secondary Schools ( utilising the Kaitiakitanga framework)
-
Tertiary Students (academic requirements)
-
Iwi Health Organisations
-
NGO’s
By accessing Tuhiata for supervision, you have access to
-
Expert clinical and cultural knowledge.
-
Professional Registration support
-
Wahine and Tane supervisors
-
One to one and group supervision
-
Workshops
-
Access to fluent Te Reo speaking supervisors.
WHĀNAU SERVICES
The work we do involves working more intensively with whanau so that together they can work to develop resiliency, improve functional outcomes and access community resources to achieve their goals.
We provide supports that make a difference to the lives of whanau through:
-
Utilising a range of counselling and social work skills to formulate whanau led interventions
-
Support whanau in making their own decisions and lifestyle changes
We work alongside Oranga Tamariki so that Tamariki can remain, where possible, safely at home with their whanau with the right supports put in place to ensure good outcomes for everyone.
