Matatini Ora in Te Tai Tokerau

It is our privilege to bring NZQA accredited Level 6 Diploma (Māori Public Health with a scope of Māori Mental Health and Addiction) to the Far North.

If you are Kaimahi Māori or you have a Māori workforce in Te Tai Tokerau, who will value from attaining a Level 6 Qualification, they are working in the community, they are interested in and or working with whānau living with mental distress, recovery from life's challenges and are or could be involved in Hauora Planning, and programmes - then this qualification would be ideal.

The Diploma Course will be delivered over an estimated 36-week period, and its Noho will be facilitated from Rangikohu Marae, Herekino.

This course is also an opportunity for Māori with whakapapa ties to Te Hiku o te Ika to come home to study !

We acknowledge that study will certainly be a commitment and will require Employer tautoko!! There will be access to ongoing student support during the study to ensure student achievements!

The Noho Marae dates are set, and the course will commence 23rd Sept. 2022. These are weekend wānanga, so that there is less disruption during work hours. And there will be regular online sessions during the week after hours.

1st Wānanga: 23-25th Sept 2022

2nd Wānanga: 28-30th October 2022

3rd Wānanga: 9-11th Dec 2022

4th Wānanga: 10-12th Feb 2023

5th Wānanga: 24-26th March 2023

6th Wānanga: 28-30th April 2023

7th Wānanga - Presentations - 29th June -1 July 2023!!!

There are NO FEES for this study, all study resources will be provided.
