Marihi Langford

Masters in Mangement Graduate Diploma in Business - Māori Development Diploma in Child Protection I have worked across Māori health and social services for over 20 years and am dedicated to effective outcomes for our people and communities. I have held roles in the District Health Board and Non-Governement Organisations in the areas of social and health services. I have been fortunate to have been on a number of boards in the past where I have enjoyed learnings and experiences that have equipped me to support the direction of Tuhiata Mahiora.

Roy Langford

Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Certificate in Adult Literacy Having spent the majority of my life in Auckland I moved to the Far North with my wife 11 years ago to build our own business in aquaculture. I bring with me a vast range of experience in business, marketing and management, building strategic relationships and partnering with key industry players, agencies and vendors. I have a strong understanding of the processes involved in operating an organisation and the importance of clarifying the organisations vision and definition of successful outcomes.

DAPAANZ Accredited Supervisor Graduate Diploma Leadership & Management Post Graduate Certificate in Health Science - Youth Development Post Graduate Certificate in Health Science - Addictions Raised in West Auckland I moved home 7 years ago to work within my community. I have 19 years of experience in the Youth and Social Services sector working at all levels within the DHB, Residental, Respite and Community. This grounding has developed my skills at an operations and quality level which allows me to utilise those learnings in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that work for both our clients and the organisation.

DAPAANZ Accredited Supervisor Graduate Diploma in Addictions Counselling Post Graduate Certificate in Bi-Cultural Supervision I bring a deep cultural and clinical understanding to my role as a board member. I was raised in Te Ao Māori, and this has guided me through my career as a counsellor, facilitator and leader over the past 16 years. My experience within a clinical setting, DHB, trauma counselling, addictions and Iwi-based organisations allows me to contribute to Tuhiata Mahiora at a governance level. I am passionate about our people and this sector, and supporting whānau through the change process.

Graduate Diploma in Addictions Counselling Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions Post Graduate Certificate in Māori Health Diploma in Ara Reo Māori I was born and raised in Whatuwhiwhi in the heart of Ngāti Kahu. I have a strong passion for working with people, in particular working alongside young people and their whānau to reach their full potential. Over the years I have gained lots of experience working and leading teams in the mental health and additions sector both within DHB and NGO organisations. I believe for whānau in our community, healing comes from being immersed in culturally congruent environments where mātauranga Māori and Te Ao Māori are embraced.
